Probetex, Inc. is a life science and contract research organization (CRO) founded in 1997, The company lists six specialization areas including 1) A cell bank of adult and embryonic kidney cell lines; 2) Production and sale of sheep nephrotoxic antibodies to induce anti-glomerular basement membrane (anti-GBM) glomerulonephritis, membranous (anti-Fx1A) nephropathy, and mesangioproliferative (anti-Thy1) glomerulonephritis. 3) Tissue products from renal disease models; 4) Histopathology services providing routine histology, immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy and image analysis; 5) Custom contract research specializing in the above models as well as over 20 other models of acute and chronic experimental kidney disease, cardiovascular liver and lung disease; and 6) other specialty areas such as regenerative medicine and a new initiative to raise funds for the development of new models of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody(ANCA) vasculitis.
